Early 1900's "His First Pair of Pants" by Marx & Haas Clothing Co.

Description

This a a pair of pants that appears to have never been worn. They are from the Union Co. in Columbus Ohio; and manufactured by Marx & Haas Clothing Co. in St. Louis. Sending new parents a pair of pants that can be worn on his FIRST BIRTHDAY, what a clever advertising scheme ( of course, you wouldn't see that today --too costly). The pants comes in the original box with the tag as seen in the picture and  a card with the same print of an Angel as seen on the box cover. The card says Heartiest Congratulations.  The back of the card says Heartiest Congratulation upon the arrival of the new Baby with best wishes and the sincere hope that he will grow up to be a fine healthy boy. Please accept for him this little gift which is presented to  him in the fine hope that he may, in the years to come, always remember that he got his first pair of pant from THE UNION. These pants are Marx Made.  The box does have some wear as seen in the picture and has the copyright date of 1915. Please ask if you have any questions.
